Chapter #3 (GoS)

This update needed a serious update, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

The holopad disappears, the large doors ahead hiss from decompressed air.

“Gods…” I murmur.

My breath catches. Despite the bustling crowd, there’s an odd stillness to the busy streets and the stately buildings that greet me. The terminal doors shut, and my eyes drift to an open terrace. Beyond it stand three-story buildings, constructed with limestone and mortar, in the same ancient likeness to those I would think people from Earth might have built. Above them, crystalline blue skyscrapers pierce the clouds.

Durranir presents itself as a haven, contrasting the horrors of Hynej’s muddy trenches and the terror of expansive oceans and the burn of particle cannons. It’s what I imagine the most beautiful deck of the Nautilus must look like… if it just went on forever. While it feels peaceful… I still don’t even know what that means.
